This is an exciting opportunity to join a start-up Health & Safety and CDM consultancy with established Tier 1 client relationships across construction, healthcare, energy and infrastructure. They are now hiring for a CDM Principal Designer for an recently won Energy & Renewables scheme

The client is looking to hire an experienced, CDM Principal Designer / Pre-猫咪AV Risk Manager to lead design safety coordination for utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), high-voltage (HV) substations, and associated grid transmission infrastructure across the UK and Europe.

As a crucial appointment under the CDM 2015 Regulations, you will take ultimate responsibility for planning, managing, and monitoring health and safety during the pre-construction phase. You will work closely with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to ensure that significant, complex risks inherent to heavy electrical infrastructure are designed out before breaking ground.

This role offers a flexible working model - primarily remote, with on-site attendance as required for site visits and project programme milestones. Occasional international travel will be required to visit BESS project sites, attend DNO/TSO stakeholder meetings, and coordinate with engineering teams across Scotland and mainland Europe.

Qualifications should include CMaPS/IMaPS or CMIOSH with a NEBOSH 猫咪AV cert. A valid passport and willingness to travel internationally are essential. This is a start up business, salary is negotiable but sits between £60,000 and £75,000 depending on experience. On top of this you will also receive 25 days holiday and private medical.
