Framework operation description

Award of work

Within each lot, we will use one the following scoring systems to award work:

Standard structures

Most orders will only include Forestry England standard structures (see 'Background Information' below). These orders will be awarded to the supplier that provides the lowest price at mini-competition.

Bespoke signs

Forestry England may require some non-standard panels or structures similar to those in Appendix A1 (such as bespoke structures or materials). For orders that include a significant amount of non-standard items, we will run a mini-competition using the following scoring method to award work:

• Proposed solution to bespoke requirements (50%)

• Price (50%)

These orders will only be initiated by the Forestry England design team, and we will notify suppliers when we intend to award using this scoring method.

Mini-Competition Process

All suppliers in the respective lot from which Forestry England require to place an order, will be invited to the mini-competition process via e-mail.

Within the email the suppliers will be provided with the specifications of the required products, the site location of installation and the deadline for which mini-competition submissions must be sent back to Forestry England. All mini-competitions will be scored on a price only basis.

Forestry England will then evaluate the responses and notify each supplier whether they have been successful or unsuccessful on this occasion.
